that’s still bad news right?

I know assited steering has changed how a wheel can kick, but still not advised?

Yeah, when off-road or about to catch air, thumbs inside the wheel is a bad idea.

Well, he is not really offroading... The thumb up thing is more of a rock crawling/heavy offroading advice, what he was doing was more heavy dirt fast driving... As demonstrated at the behinning of the episode, the Nomad is quite useless in thumb ripping types of driving.

No idea but I’ve always had it in my head that regardless of the application, thumbs should never go inside a steering wheel.

I don’t know. Formula One racers, GP2 racers, GP3 racers, A1GP racers, IndyCar racers, Indy Lights racers, Formula E racers, World Rally Championship racers, Global Rallycross racers, Dakar Rally racers, S.C.C.A. Trans-Am and World Challenge racers, I.M.S.A. sports car racers, dragster racers, and I have our thumbs ‘opposing’ our fingers on our steering wheels and yokes.

I’ve always seen them with the thumbs inside the wheels. The wheels even have thumb holes. That’s why when they crash they all take their hands off of the wheel.
